Things to remember

It is important to see, that yoga is not a competition and not comparable to previous abilities (e. g. the human body is in the morning generally less flexible than in the evening), nor to compare them with those of the neighbors (Anatomical conditions are usually entirely different apart from any training levels).

If you can´t do an exercise or you just don’t want to do, just go to the rest position.

An important issue is to avoid injuries which arise only from ignorance and usually too much ego and wanting. On one hand, belongs to a strain to the exercise and a little “dragging pain” in yoga the so-called “pleasant pain”, thus a slight pull in general is ok and supports discipline and the physical strain. But originates the pain from a previous injury or a physical limitation, then go with the stretching back a little or take a break. This also applies in any case for stabbing pains. Remember, only you can feel your body, therefore make slow and responsible and fully aware movement and in doubt always less than more!

What should I bring to the yoga lesson?

For your yoga lesson you will need comfortable clothes – especially the pants should be very convenient, a mat, a meditation cushion, for the relaxation phase besides a blanket or a large towel a warm jacket (jogging jacket) as well as warm socks, sufficient liquid and a container for jewelry and for spectacle wearers a eyeglasses case as well as …… good mood!
